I am Sadie Farmer.
I am a creative from Birmingham, Alabama and a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre. Class of 2023, baby!
Above everything, I strive to be a beacon of confidence for all people. I believe that everyone deserves to go through life with self love and the knowledge of their own worth. I hope to encourage people to accept who they are in every phase of their lives, and I love to do so through art!
In my free time, I love to play the electric bass and guitar. I also have a knack for fitness, especially Zumba classes and strength training. As someone who has struggled with my body image, fitness has become a way I like to celebrate my body and all the amazing things it can do for me!
a mini history lesson on Sadie Farmer (me teehee)
From the moment I was born, I had an instant connection to music.
My family says as a “youngin”, I would WAIL in every car ride unless every passenger was singing. One summer, they had to sing “Wheels on the Bus” for seven hours on the way to and from the beach in order to save their eardrums. I’d like to think that was just a display of my instant passion for music and that powerful BELT rather than my tendency to be loud (oopsie). Living about half an hour away from my preschool, I would listen to my parent’s yaucht rock on the way to and from school everyday. The teachers and parents of other kids I went to school with were always shocked when I told them my favorite band was Queen. My young exposure to my parent’s music ignited my desire to be a musician, and I began to take guitar lessons after school at the age of eight. I also participated in the school recitals where I sang and accompanied myself on guitar. My third grade performance of “On Top of Spaghetti” was truly unforgettable. I continued taking lessons up until my senior year of high school.
Then, I found my love for theatre!
From preschool through the eighth grade I participated in the school musical every year, but I hadn’t yet realized how much I loved it. My busy parents signed me up for a theatre summer camp one year, lacking a babysitter at home while they were at work. Boy, did they not know what they were signing up for. From there, I became a full blown “theatre kid” AND musician. In high school, I joined the theatre academy and realized that theatre was my passion, and I wanted to pursue it as a career. To say this was surprising to my family of veterinarians would be an understatement. But knowing my history, it was undeniable that I was born to perform.

People who need people…
My passion for performance does not begin to describe all of who I am. Most importantly, I am so privileged to be surrounded by the most amazing friends, peers, and an absurdly supportive Dad. All of my relationships truly bring out the best in me, and I am eternally grateful for the people in my life. They are so, so important to me, and I would not have the same happiness and health that I do without them.
